2 down, 10 to go! 10.3 miles down, 49.7 to go!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas? We sure did. Loads of food, surrounded by family and Santa was kind, very kind. I’ll remember Adam’s face forever. He was so happy and excited, it was magical. This is what being a parent and what Christmas is all about.

Massive thanks to Stephen M today for braving the cold, the rain and the killer hill up to Broom House Farm. To be honest, it was a great run, even the hill. We had good conversation along the way which always helps. Stephen also updated his blog today and he had some very wise words. As tough as the run was this morning, it’s nothing compared to the challenges some people face on a daily basis. He’s absolutely right. I remember struggling up a slight hill a few months ago and I saw a guy in a wheelchair. I thought to myself “He would do anything to be able to run or even walk” so I literally ran up the hill. You shouldn’t take anything for granted and always appreciated what you have.

I had more good news today, Stephen has agreed to do the Lanchester Dairies run with me among other runs. It was really important for me to find a supporting runner for this day. The furthest I’ve ran this year is 7.5 miles so this is fantastic news. I’m actually looking forward to the run now!

Big thanks to Stephen D for the lift home again today. He’s been an absolute star these last few days and he also took the great photo above.

I’m at Saltwell Park tomorrow for a 5k. They have ‘Pets Corner’ which contains 3 French Hens.

Thanks for reading and for the support.
