Father’s Day Gift Guide 2018

Post Type

With Father’s Day just around the corner, I thought I’d pull together another gift guide for you this year.

Now Father’s Day shouldn’t all be about cards and gifts. Breakfast in bed and a kiss on the cheek is usually good enough for me but if you are looking for some gift ideas, I’ve included five below.

Fathers Day Gift Guide 2018 - Sportswear

Sportswear

Making sure you wear the correct sportswear is essential to any good workout routine. As an eczema sufferer myself, I need to wear items that will wick the sweat away from my skin to avoid irritations. I recently came across this great website called vouchercloud and it has a dedicated page for JD Sports. It’s brilliant because you can save serious money through discount codes and vouchers. They’re all in one place too so you don’t need to shop around. Check it out and there’s currently 20% off selected Adidas Originals.

Fathers Day Gift Guide 2018 - Gym Bag

Gym Bag

I recently wrote this for the Independent and I thought I’d mention it in my gift guide this year. It was Benjamin Franklin that said “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” Having a good gym bag is essential to any good routine. I pack mine the night before so I know exactly what gym routine I’m doing the next day. My piece for the Independent includes the 8 best gym bags.

Fitbit Versa Review

Sports Watch

I’ve recently reviewed (or should I say my Wife and I recently reviewed) the brand new Fitbit Versa and we loved it! I won’t blabber on here about it so if you want to know more, please click here.

Sir Bobby

Amy and I had the pleasure of seeing a documentary film about Sir Bobby Robson last month. It was brilliant and a tear or two were shed. I’m a huge Bobby fan and had the pleasure of meeting him on several occasions. While he was Newcastle United manager, I would skive off college to watch them train. Bobby didn’t mind and would say “as long as I was in control of my projects.” Thankfully I was.

One time, while watching them train. Kieron Dyer picked the ball up inside his own half. He dribbled and Bobby calmly said “pass it Kieron.” He ignored him and continued to dribble. Bobby raised his voice “pass it Kieron.” This carried on a few times until Sir Bobby was literally screaming at him and going red in the face! Well Dyer went on to score and Bobby spun round to me and said “He still should’ve passed the ball.” We laughed so much. He was a lovely man and always took the time to ask how I was doing. Anyway! Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager is now available to buy and I think it would make a great Father’s Day gift this year.

Happy New You - David Lloyd Clubs

Membership

We currently have a family membership with David Lloyd Clubs and we love it. It’s not just access to the gym but to a whole range of things such as tennis, squash, swimming and badminton. A healthy café is included on site so you can literally have hours of fun throughout the day. The Mrs recently wrote this and I think it sums up David Lloyd Clubs perfectly.

Fathers Day Gift Guide 2018 - eBook

The Ultimate Father Fitness Programme

Last but not least and it’s free! I can’t finish without mentioning my own eBook, haha! I wrote this with my friend and PT Steve Hoyles. We’re giving away four weeks free on Father’s Day! With a small fee for the remaining two months. It’s basically a 12 week programme that will get you fitter and healthier. We’ve called it ‘The Ultimate Father Fitness Programme’ but you don’t have to be a Dad or even male to complete it, it’s a great all rounder. I hope you find it useful and I’d love to hear your feedback.

Have a great Father’s Day!

Paul
