Freeletics – Week Seven

Post Type

I instantly regretted the extra Freeletics workout in week six as soon as I was told week seven was a ‘hell week.’ A hell week involved double sessions, so six workouts in seven days. Ouch!

This was a one-off, a curve ball, something to throw in the mix and make your body think “What the f*ck.” To make matters worse (or better depending on which way you look at it), the first workout of the week was a standard version of Venus. Again, why I chose to do this workout with my friend is beyond me.

The next workout of the week was a standard version of Dione. This was a new workout to the programme (which after three workouts of Venus over the past week) was a blessing in disguise. I completed the standard version of Dione two times which involved:

Dione (Standard)

Round 1 of 3

  • 75 Jumping Jacks
  • 25 Burpees
  • 50 Straight Leg Lever
  • 75 Jumping Jacks
  • 50 Situps
  • 25 Burpees

Round 2 of 3

  • 75 Jumping Jacks
  • 25 Burpees
  • 50 Straight Leg Lever
  • 75 Jumping Jacks
  • 50 Situps
  • 25 Burpees

Round 3 of 3

  • 75 Jumping Jacks
  • 25 Burpees
  • 50 Straight Leg Lever
  • 75 Jumping Jacks
  • 50 Situps
  • 25 Burpees

Next up was 2/5 Iris and the strength version, this involved:

2/5 Iris (Strength)

Round 1 of 7

  • 1km Run

Round 2 of 7

  • 100 Jumping Jacks
  • 100 Froggers

Round 3 of 7

  • 100 Jumping Jacks
  • 100 Froggers

Round 4 of 7

  • 100 Jumping Jacks
  • 100 Froggers

Round 5 of 7

  • 100 Jumping Jacks
  • 100 Froggers

Round 6 of 7

  • 100 Jumping Jacks
  • 100 Froggers

Round 7 of 7

  • 1km Run

I completed a 2km run all at the start of the workout and followed it up with 500 Jumping Jacks and 500 Froggers.

Next up was a standard version of Apollon, this involved:

Apollon (Standard)

Round 1 of 3

  • 25 Burpees
  • 400m Run
  • 50 Squats
  • 400m Run

Round 2 of 3

  • 25 Burpees
  • 400m Run
  • 50 Squats
  • 400m Run

Round 3 of 3

  • 25 Burpees
  • 400m Run
  • 50 Squats
  • 400m Run

My final and sixth workout of the week was the endurance version of Venus. This was basically a double session of the workout I completed in week two. I asked myself at the time how I thought I’d cope doing a double session of that workout. I didn’t expect to do it in a hell week and I can confirm it was one of those days were I finished, rolled on to my side and lay still fro a few minutes. Sounds dramatic I know but I’m pushing myself to levels I never knew existed!

Week eight next, lets go!
