Freeletics – Week Six

Post Type

Week six and I’m already half way through my Freeletics training programme. I’m loving it so far, I feel stronger, fitter and more confident. I’m interested to see how I feel in another six weeks.

This week started off with a standard version of Aphrodite. You can see the workout of Aphrodite from week one. Next was a strength workout called Hera, this involved:

Hera (Strength)

Round 1 of 5

  • 40 High Jumps
  • 60 Second Rest
  • 400m Run
  • 60 Second Rest

Round 2 of 5

  • 40 High Jumps
  • 60 Second Rest
  • 400m Run
  • 60 Second Rest

Round 3 of 5

  • 40 High Jumps
  • 60 Second Rest
  • 400m Run
  • 60 Second Rest

Round 4 of 5

  • 40 High Jumps
  • 60 Second Rest
  • 400m Run
  • 60 Second Rest

Round 5 of 5

  • 40 High Jumps
  • 60 Second Rest
  • 400m Run

Hera was tough, I found the high jumps a challenge at first, so I did batches of ten jumps and took a little rest in between. I also did my running around the block as it worked out at a little over 400m. My final workout of the week was a standard version of 2/10 Gaia, this involved:

2/10 Gaia (Standard)

Round 1 of 2

  • 40 Jumping Jacks
  • 30 Jumps
  • 20 Climbers
  • 10 Standups

Round 2 of 2

  • 40 Jumping Jacks
  • 30 Jumps
  • 20 Climbers
  • 10 Standups

Gaia was ok and it good to finish the week doing only two sets of a ten set workout. The Standups were really tough and I struggled to do these all in one motion. I therefore decided to do ten situps followed by ten jumps, I guess it’s the same thing just slower!

I’d found this week challenging and I’ve been mentioning Freeletics to a few of my friends. One of them wanted to come over and try a workout with me which I thought was a great idea. Why I chose the standard version of Venus again is beyond me. I guess I wanted my mate to see how tough it was! So I managed to complete four workouts in week six which I was over the moon about.
