In The US We Trust

Post Type

I was pretty excited to try out a brand new energy bar from the US. I was told when it hits the UK shelves, they were certainly going to hit the spot.

No Opportunity Wasted (NOW) and A3 bars are heading over to the UK, they’re both leading American gluten-free snacks. The all natural nutrition bars are going to be a big hit with gym goers and sports lovers. The bars provide ready energy with an optimum balance of carbohydrates and premium protein.

The NOW bar pictured at the front (in the yellow and orange packaging) was peanut and caramel flavour. I sampled two of these before a weight training routine (I normally have a couple of bananas). The taste of these bars were incredible and they really did give me something extra in the gym. The A3 bar pictured at the back was peanut butter and jelly. The outside of the bar was soft and it had the flavour running through the middle. Not really my cup of tea to be honest, it tasted like flowers! Although it provided me with a similar boost to that of the previous NOW energy bar.

So I liked one and didn’t like the other but this was purely on taste, so my personal opinion. I can definitely confirm they provided me with energy and I’ll also back the fact that they’re gluten and dairy-free. The bars do come in a range of other flavours so please don’t let my review put you off. Some other flavours include coconut, almond, cranberry and strawberry.

Thanks for reading and if you want to join the craze, look out for these energy bars hitting the UK shelves soon.
