New Trainers, New Balance 880v4

Post Type

Running wise, 2014 has been a quiet year for me. Since the 12 parkruns of Christmas charity running challenge, my confidence had been understandably low. I needed something to get me back outside and hitting the roads, this ‘something’ came in the way of New Balance and their incredible 880v4.

I’m still running in these shoes which is always a good sign. They’re incredible lightweight (269 grams to be exact) with absolutely no loss of cushioning. New Balance state the v4 is a neutral running shoe and I’m very impressed so far with it’s durability. Here are some photos of my New Balance 880v4, obviously nice and clean before any runs in them!

The New Balance 880v4 are available in three colours – White with Blue (as pictured above), Silver with Yellow & Orange and a rather striking Blue with Lime Green & Orange. They’ll certainly see you coming with those on!

I run mainly on paths, trail and some grass. The grips on the 880v4 were great, as you can see from the first image above. I love these trainers so much, I’m washing them after every run and I’ve never done that with running trainers. They’re really easy to clean and they dry quickly. I’m very impressed with the New Balance 880v4. I read reviews of the v3 and I think New Balance have gone one step further with this version.

This is my first pair of New Balance trainers and it certainly won’t be the last. If you like a good quality neutral running shoe with great grip, cushioning and durability – the 880v4 from New Balance must be on your Christmas list this year.
