Paintballing For Fitness

Post Type

Summer is on the way and so thoughts will be turning to holidays in the sun and the best way to get “beach ready” before the swim suits and board shorts come out!

And that means that every fitness magazine on every newsagents’ shelf, not to mention the myriad of fitness websites and social media accounts, will be buzzing with features on how to get a six-pack in as many weeks, or ways to lose that bum in under a month.

The trouble is, religiously going the gym can get boring and you can easily lose motivation – so it could be time to get a focus for getting fit in some creative ways.

Out of the Gym and onto the Field

Getting fit in the gym can be an arduous task; hours of training and treadmill work with no real goal can see you lose motivation quickly – so what if you’ve not got a summer holiday or a wedding to build up to, and you’re not really into sports?

Paintballing could be the answer – you’ll need speed, agility and endurance to perform, and it has to be more fun that throwing a rugby ball around before getting flattened by and 18 stone prop forward.

And if you thought of paintballing a something you only do on stag or hen parties or as part of a team-building exercise, think again. Sites like Mayhem Paintball London and the Manchester Paintball Arena have regular social events and competitions to make it much more than just a one-off.
