Running for Good

Post Type

I came across a fitness blog the other day and I got a mention!

Tina Reale runs Best Body Fitness and she has a Saturday Shares page. If you scroll down to the heading ‘Reflect & Grow’ you’ll see next to ‘Use running for good?’ is my charity Christmas challenge. How nice is that? It’s great to see so many people supporting this challenge. The obvious aim of it all is to raise money for Percy Hedley but it seems to be developing into more than that.

People who are running with me are saying things like “It’ll help me keep myself fit over Christmas too.” This is great to hear. I feel like this is no longer just a charity challenge, it’s an event that’s starting to inspire other people. My friend Stephen is running some of the days with me and he tweeted me last night for some motivation. He also tweeted me after the Christening on Sunday to say “Enjoyed the fitness chat! #Inspired.” This is like music to my ears. I know deep down that my Wife gets sick of me going on about health and fitness so it’s great to hear comments like this from friends.

Stephen is Godparent to James and I’m Godparent to Matthew. The Miller twins as we like to call them! I’m sure Stephen will agree with my next statement that if I could teach both of these boys three things it would be the three H’s – Health, happiness and Honesty. I believe if you are honest with yourself and others and you are healthy, happiness will follow naturally.

Thanks,

Paul
